Scope of the Project

In addition to promoting culture and the arts, the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA) aims to promote sustainable technologies that ensure improved conditions of its building infrastructure and significant energy savings that contribute to the protection of the environment. In this context, ASFA participates in the GR-Energy Program (EEA FM 2014-21) with an emblematic project on innovative and demonstrative energy interventions at the Art Station of Delphi.

The Art Station of Delphi serves as an organic educational branch of the Institution for the purpose of supplementary training for students, holding special workshops, lectures, and other cultural events. However, due to its location on the outskirts of the archaeological site of Delphi, it is perhaps the most visited and prominent art station of the faculty, a fact that adds to the demonstrative character of the interventions planned. Regarding the interventions, modern innovative technologies have been selected, which ensure improvement of the building's internal environment and significant energy savings, with the aim of transforming the building into a Model Smart Building and Experiential Energy Innovation Center.
